Kibirkstis started strong, storming to an 18-2 lead, but TTT Riga rallied to close the gap by the end of the first quarter (28-26). The second quarter saw a shift in momentum as TTT Riga took control, heading into halftime with a 34-41 lead.

The second week of December in the Betsafe-WBBL season was filled with action, even though fewer games were played than the previous week. The highlight of the week was the game in Riga, where the defending champions TTT-Riga (9-0) hosted the ambitious Neptunas-Amberton (8-3) team from Klaipeda. The hosts won 79-62, but the final score did not reflect the close battle on the court.

The Betsafe-WBBL saw a busy week of action, with 11 games played. The leaders, TTT-Riga, won two games, as did Liepaja/LSSS, and the Kibirkstis Vilnius team that has undergone some major changes.

In the past week, 9 Betsafe-WBBL games were played, with a variety of events taking place - convincing victories, incredible comebacks, impressive individual performances, and even a triple-double.

The younger and less experienced hosts had no chance, as the visitors dominated from the very first quarter. Gabija Meškonytė, with 21 points and 8 rebounds, and Evelina Otto, with 15 points and 9 rebounds, were the top performers for the winners. Among the hosts, Kinga Piedel stood out the most, scoring 23 points.

The match at the Daugavpils Cultural and Sports Center will begin at 2:00 PM. TTT Riga beat Kibirkštis Vilnius in the league finals last season, and has already warmed up significantly this season. Unfortunately, they suffered two defeats in the EuroLeague qualification stage against opponents from Romania.

Kibirkstis Vilnius, Neptunas Klaipeda, and TTT Riga qualified for the semis. For their part, Rigas Stradina University punched their Final Four ticket earlier by winning the regular season.

An overtime thriller between league leaders and stellar Petronyte's performance The opening game of the week took place on Wednesday in Klaipeda, where LCC Klaipeda (8-9) hosted Siauliai-Vilmers (6-11) and won the game 73-56 (22-13, 24-11, 11-10, 16-22).
