Last week was marked by the Women's Baltic Basketball League quarterfinals stage, where the remaining three teams that will continue the fight for the WBBL championship got revealed.
Kibirkstis Vilnius, Neptunas Klaipeda, and TTT Riga qualified for the semis.
For their part, Rigas Stradina University punched their Final Four ticket earlier by winning the regular season.
The first semifinal provides a Riga derby between TTT and RSU, while the second semis involve two Lithuanian clubs – Kibirkstis and Neptunas.
The Final Four of the Women's BBL will take place in Birstonas, Lithuania, on April 1-2. The event is free.
TTT Riga won the quarterfinals series from two games with a total score of 142-131 and eliminated Aistes Kaunas. Dekeiya Cohen led the freshly-baked semifinalists with a strong double-double of 24 points and 15 rebounds in the first game and delivered 19 points and 9 boards in the second match.
Neptunas' Viktoria Balaban combined for 50 points, 17 rebounds, and 69 EFF over two games to navigate the Klaipeda team over TalTech Tallinn, 162-142.
Last but not least, Kibirkstis cruised past LCC Klaipeda with a final score of 160-133.
Gintare Petronyte registered two terrific performances. The Lithuanian star center posted a double-double of 17 points and 14 rebounds in Game 1, while her second match was an even better one -- 28 points and 12 rebounds. She recorded an astonishing 88 EFF over a two-game span.
