The highlight of the week was the game in Riga, where the defending champions TTT-Riga (9-0) hosted the ambitious Neptunas-Amberton (8-3) team from Klaipeda. The hosts won 79-62, but the final score did not reflect the close battle on the court.
With three minutes to play, the visitors were only trailing by six points (61-67) and the outcome of the game could have gone either way. However, the hosts kept their cool and secured the victory.
In the TTT-Riga team, Kyra Lambert, the league's November MVP, stood out again. The point guard scored 12 points, grabbed 5 rebounds, dished out 6 assists, and had 5 steals. Four other Latvian club players also scored in double figures: Ieva Pulvere (18 points), Margaux Claveau (15 points), Gabija Meškonytė (14 points), and Evelina Otto (12 points).
Maria Delgado led the Klaipeda team with 16 points. Marina Solopova (8 rebounds, 6 assists, and 2 steals) had 15 points, and Amanda Okodugha had 13 points.
With another victory, TTT-Riga remains the only undefeated team in the Betsafe-WBBL. The Latvian champions are now 9-0 and have a comfortable lead over the second-placed LCC International University (9-2).
Jurmala (1-9) finally celebrated a victory this week, defeating TTT Juniores (0-8) 74-58 and recording their first win of the season. The winning team was led by Zozefine Sipolina, who scored 30 points.
LCC International University (9-2), Siauliai-Vilmers (7-2), Kibirkštis Vilnius (6-2), and Aistes-LSMU Kaunas (6-3) also won their games this week. Kibirkštis beat Jurmala 94-43, Aistes-LSMU defeated BS Riga Juniores 86-58, Siauliai-Vilmers dominated RSU 79-51, and LCC International University outscored Aistes-LSMU 78-51.
