In their first matchup, Aistes-LSMU triumphed 70-60 against Daugavpils University (2-1) in a hard-fought away game.  The Lithuanian team outperformed their opponents with better ball movement (17 assists vs. 11) and fewer turnovers (10 vs. 18), despite both teams battling evenly in rebounds (50 vs. 53).

In Kaunas, two league newcomers faced off in their first-ever game. The home team, Atletas, secured a convincing historic victory by defeating Akmenes Krastas 76-52. Gerda Vitkeviciute led the way for the winners with 13 points, while Donata Petrenaite contributed a double-double of 10 points and 14 rebounds.

The latest week in the Biosil-Women's Baltic Basketball League (WBBL) was nothing short of drama, with the final lineup of playoff participants now firmly in place. The highlight of the week was the intense battles that saw Aistes-LSMU Kaunas secure their spot among the top seven, leaving last season's bronze medalists, RSU, on the outside looking in.

The Biosil-WBBL saw six games played over the past week, with the quarterfinal picture starting to take shape. Liepaja/LSSS earned a vital victory in their quest for a top-7 finish and a playoff spot, defeating RSU 68:61 at home. The game remained intriguing until the final moments, with Liepaja converting missed free throws into offensive rebounds and managing to maintain a narrow lead.

Six games were played in the Betsafe-WBBL league this week, after which the teams will have a short break due to the start of the national team break. Only one team, LCC International University, recorded two wins this week. The first victory was won in the Klaipėda derby when they beat Neptunas-Amberton surprisingly convincingly 69:49.

This time, TTT-Riga defeated RSU 73:55 (22:12, 17:12, 20:10, 24:11), but demonstrated its superiority only in the second part of the game. RSU started the game strongly, leading 28:12 in the second quarter. However, RSU players got stuck, and a few minutes later, the teams were separated by only 3 points (32:29).

The younger and less experienced hosts had no chance, as the visitors dominated from the very first quarter. Gabija Meškonytė, with 21 points and 8 rebounds, and Evelina Otto, with 15 points and 9 rebounds, were the top performers for the winners. Among the hosts, Kinga Piedel stood out the most, scoring 23 points.

The match at the Daugavpils Cultural and Sports Center will begin at 2:00 PM. TTT Riga beat Kibirkštis Vilnius in the league finals last season, and has already warmed up significantly this season. Unfortunately, they suffered two defeats in the EuroLeague qualification stage against opponents from Romania.

Another week of the Women's Baltic Basketball League went by with four games taking place. An overtime thriller between league leaders and stellar Petronyte's performance The opening game of the week took place on Wednesday in Klaipeda, where LCC Klaipeda (8-9) hosted Siauliai-Vilmers (6-11) and won the game 73-56 (22-13, 24-11, 11-10, 16-22).

One game took place in the last week of the Women's Baltic Basketball League. It was a battle between standings neighbors, BJBS Riga (2-12) and Daugavpils University (1-14). The team from the Latvian capital overcame their opponents, 82-71 (25-26, 17-16, 23-11, 17-18). BJBS broke the game to their side in the third quarter, winning a tally by 12 points. The other three periods went neck-on-neck.

Another week of the Women's Baltic Basketball League went by with four games taking place. The game week began on Wednesday in Lithuania, where Aistes Kaunas (12-5) comfortably 91-63 (24-13, 29-18, 16-17, 22-15) defeated LCC Klaipeda (7-9).
