The BioSil-WBBL saw a derby between the Klaipeda teams last week, with Neptunas-Amberton emerging victorious against LCC International University 58-50.
The blue and whites used a strong defensive effort to build a 16-point lead midway through the third quarter (47-31). Though the hosts attempted a comeback with 110 seconds remaining (50-56), they ultimately fell short.
Only two players on each team reached double figures in scoring. Egle Sventoraite (18) and Kate Vilka (11) led Neptunas-Amberton, while Maisa Dias (12) and Dominyka Paliulyte (10) paced LCC International University.
Defending champions TTT Riga defeated Siauliai-Vilmers 86-72 at home. Riga's team controlled the game but only secured their advantage late in the fourth quarter after Siauliai-Vilmers closed the gap to 2 points (68-66).
Biosil-WBBL November MVP Mia Faye Loyd continued her impressive form with 28 points (3/3 three-pointers), 7 rebounds, and a 35 PIR. Ketija Vihmane added 13 points, 6 rebounds, and 8 assists, while Karline Pilabere contributed a double-double of 11 points and 10 rebounds.
Valeria Aleksieva scored 14 points for Siauliai-Vilmers, with Malia Rose Bambrick and Dalia Donskichyte each adding 13.
In the third Division A game, TSA/CITYTEED Tallinn secured their second win of the season with a 69-62 victory over Liepaja/LSSS. The game went down to the wire, with the score tied at 59-59 with two minutes remaining. Tallinn led by just 2 points with a minute left (64-62) but held on for the win.
Sofia Kosareva was unstoppable for Tallinn's team, scoring 25 points. Laura Liisa Grunmann added 12 points and Lisandra Vetesina 10.
Kitija Muzikante led Liepaja/LSSS with 14 points, while Madara Smite and Enija Kivite each scored 11.
Three games were also played in the Biosil-WBBL Division B. Atletas earned their first victory with a hard-fought 72-66 win over Uniclub Bet-Oaks in Vilnius. Uniclub Bet-Oaks, still winless, led 60-51 after three quarters but were outscored 21-6 in the final period.
Kateryna Kliuchinikie scored 19 points for Atletas, while Evelina Januseviciute had a double-double of 15 points and 15 rebounds.
Emilija Grigaliunaite responded with an impressive double-double of 13 points and 20 rebounds for Vilnius, but it wasn't enough to secure the win.
In other games, Atletas lost 67-105 at home to Latvia U16, who then fell 59-102 to Daugavpils University in their second game in two days.
