Mia Faye Loyd of TTT Riga (Division A) and Gintare Paulauskaitė of Aistes-LSMU Kaunas (Division B) have been named the Biosil-WBBL Players of the Month for January.
Loyd led TTT Riga to a 2-1 record in January, averaging an impressive 31 points and 10.67 rebounds per game. This is the second time this season that the American guard has earned MVP honors, having also been named Player of the Month in November.
Paulauskaite was instrumental in Aistes-LSMU's undefeated January, as the Kaunas team extended their winning streak to 8 games. The forward averaged 17 points, 10.5 rebounds, 4.5 assists, and 3.5 steals per game, showcasing her all-around dominance.
Paulauskaite becomes the third Aistes-LSMU player to receive MVP honors this season, following Santa Okockyte and Brigita Rimkeviciute.
