This past week in the Biosil-Women's Baltic Basketball League (WBBL) was slightly less intense than some previous ones, but it was still filled with excitement across seven matchups.

The reigning champions, TTT-Riga, continued their undefeated streak with a commanding 85:41 victory over Aistes-LSMU Kaunas at home. This win marked their 16th consecutive victory.

Liepaja/LSSS made another significant statement this week with two victories, reinforcing their playoff aspirations. On Wednesday, they overcame Riga Juniores/LU 79:23 and followed up with a thrilling 88:82 win against the higher-ranked Siauliai-Vilmers team on Saturday. This duo of wins has solidified their position in the top seven of the league standings.

The duo of Sabine Lipe and Raivita Korenika was instrumental in Liepaja/LSSS’s success, scoring 23 and 21 points respectively. Despite a remarkable 29-point performance from Cassidy Mihalko of Siauliai-Vilmers, it wasn’t enough to secure a win.

This victory keeps their hopes alive for breaking into the elite group of teams heading to the playoffs.

In other action, Riga Juniores/LU nearly clinched a win in their home game against Aistes-LSMU but ultimately fell short, with the Kaunas team taking a narrow 72:68 victory. Meanwhile, Daugavpils University edged out Panevezys 78:72 in a closely contested match, climbing to the 9th spot in the league standings.
