The Biosil-WBBL quarterfinals continued with two more matchups where the higher-seeded teams maintained their dominance, advancing closer to the Final Four.
In Division A, Neptunas-Amberton Klaipeda secured a 73-43 road victory over Liepaja/LSSS. Despite a strong effort by the Latvian squad in the first half (trailing only 21-30), Neptunas-Amberton pulled away decisively in the second half.
Neptunas-Amberton was led by Urte Cizauskaite, who scored 15 points. Kate Vilka added 12 points, and Taylor Murray contributed 11. Madara Smite (18 points) and Estere Petrus (10) reached double figures for Liepaja/LSSS.
The two teams will meet again for Game 2 on March 22nd in Klaipeda.
In Division B, TTT Riga Juniores cruised to a 110-68 road win over Uniclub Bet-Oaks in Vilnius. The defensive struggles of the home team were the key factor in their loss. TTT Riga Juniores scored 53 points in the first half and continued their offensive barrage with 57 more points in the second.
Marta Ploriņa led TTT Riga Juniores with 22 points, followed by Emilija Trofimenko with 21 points, and Sarlote Skrebele with 16 points. Gitana Paplauskaite scored 13 points for the hosts, while Smilte Prokarenkaite (13 rebounds, 8 assists) and Alma Lekeviciute-Kriuniene each contributed 11 points.
Game 2 of this series is scheduled for March 25th in Riga.
The teams with the higher aggregate score from the two games will advance to the Final Four.
