The Women's Baltic Basketball League saw three more contests wrap up just ahead of the international window for national team play.
The week's most commanding victory was secured by a red-hot TTT-Riga, which dismantled Panevezys 113-52 on their home floor, offering the visitors no path back into the game.
Niyah Becker paced the home side with 16 points, anchoring an all-around performance that amassed an impressive 30 efficiency rating. Marta Plorina contributed 15 points, while Sarlote Skrebele notched 14.
Panevezys traveled to Riga with a short-handed roster of just seven players. Their leading scorer was the recent addition, Laura Zelnyte. The forward, who began the season with Kibirkstis Vilnius, posted 23 points and pulled down 7 rebounds for her new squad.
Still hunting for their first win of the season, Panevezys has also registered veteran guard Gabriele Sulske, hinting that a fundamental shift in the team's performance could be imminent.
In the Estonian capital, LCC International University Klaipeda was pushed harder than expected, ultimately grinding out a 68-59 victory over the local TSA/Tallinn. The game was tight down the stretch, with the margin at just four points (60-56) with three minutes to play, but the hosts were unable to overcome the deficit.
One of the visitors' key cogs, Lina Loceniece, saw only 7 minutes of action this time. Vilte Andrunaviciute stepped up to lead LCC's scoring with 13 points. Tjasa Turnsek supplied 11, while Maisa Dias was a monster on the boards, finishing with a double-double of 10 points and 16 rebounds.
The home team was powered by its go-to trio, who provided the bulk of the offense. Laura Grunmann poured in 20 points, Maarja Grunmann scored 18, and Emma-Mia Kuttis added 14.
In the week's third contest, Alytus-GUT.LT welcomed Aistes-LSMU Kaunas, but the visiting side ultimately emerged victorious with a 74-60 final score.
It was a tight battle only in the opening frame, which Aistes-LSMU edged 21-19. However, the visitors blew the game open in the second quarter, surging to a 19-point lead (43-24).
The game's standout performance belonged to Aistes-LSMU forward Gedvile Savostaite, who posted an unconventional but spectacular triple-double: 11 points, 11 rebounds, and a remarkable 10 steals.
Auste Jureviciute provided the primary scoring punch for the winners with 24 points, while Guste Dziatkauskaite added 12.
Pacing the home team, Amalija Pasajevaite put up 23 points, with Kriste Timofejeva scoring 13 in support.
Only one WBBL game is on the docket for the immediate future. This Sunday at 14:30, Alytus-GUT.LT is set to host Panevezys.
