Kibirkstis Vilnius has secured first place in the Biosil-WBBL Division A standings, extending their winning streak to 13 games with a dominant 113-45 victory over TSA/CITYTEED Tallinn.
TSA/CITYTEED Tallinn had a mixed time, facing tough competition and playing three games in total. While their final result against Kibirkstis was lopsided, their other two games were much closer, with one victory achieved.
First, TSA/CITYTEED faced defending champions TTT Riga, putting up a strong fight before ultimately falling 88-74. Mia Loyd was once again dominant for TTT Riga, scoring 30 points, grabbing 15 rebounds, and posting an impressive 44 efficiency rating. Newcomers Dominique Wilson (18 points) and Sarah Sagere (14 points) also contributed to TTT Riga's victory. Sofia Kosareva (14 points), Joana Domingas Antonio (13 points), and Lisandra Vetesina (13 points) led TSA/CITYTEED.
In their third game, TSA/CITYTEED finally celebrated a win, defeating Siauliai-Vilmers 80-66 on the road. A strong fourth quarter, where they outscored their opponents 35-16, propelled them to victory. Katlin Kangur (19 points) and Sofia Kosareva (18 points) led the way for TSA/CITYTEED.
Siauliai-Vilmers debuted Karolina Kazociunaite, who joined the team from Aistes-LSMU. Kazociunaite scored 11 points and grabbed 7 rebounds in 27 minutes. Agne Cerneckyte was the top scorer for Siauliai-Vilmers with 19 points.
This loss was a tough blow for Siauliai-Vilmers, who had just secured a dramatic 84-82 victory over Liepaja/LSSS. Malia Bambrick was unstoppable in that game, scoring 31 points. Sabine Lipe (21 points) and Agnė Černeckytė (16 points) also contributed to the win. Madara Smite (20 points), Kitija Muzikante (18 points), Enija Kivite (15 points), and Estere Petrus (13 points) led Liepaja/LSSS.
In Division B, Aistes-LSMU secured their 10th consecutive victory, defeating Uniclub Bet-Oaks 79-38 in Vilnius. This win ensured Aistes-LSMU finished the regular season in first place.
Uniclub Bet-Oaks had previously defeated Atletas 81-62 in Kaunas. Five players scored in double figures for Uniclub Bet-Oaks, with Gitana Paplauskaite recording a double-double of 12 points and 11 rebounds.
In the third Division B game, Panevezys defeated Daugavpils University 102-70. Gabriele Sulske (34 points, 15 rebounds, 8 assists, 53 efficiency rating) and Kriste Timofejeva (30 points, 13 rebounds, 44 efficiency rating) had outstanding performances for Panevezys.
