The Biosil-WBBL regular season has come to an end with three Division A games wrapping up the schedule.
TSA/CITYTEED Tallinn played two games this week, splitting their results with one win and one loss.
First, the Estonian team hosted Siauliai-Vilmers in a crucial matchup for fifth place. TSA/CITYTEED emerged victorious 83-69, securing the fifth seed for themselves.
Despite trailing 31-34 at halftime, TSA/CITYTEED dominated the second half (52-35) to claim the win.
Sofia Kosareva led the way with 24 points, while Laura Liisa Grunmann and Katlin Kangur each added 16 points. Kangur also dished out 11 assists. For a shorthanded Siauliai-Vilmers squad, Mercy Wanyama posted a double-double with 18 points and 12 rebounds, Agne Cerneckyte scored 16 points, and Valeria Aleksieva contributed 11.
TSA/CITYTEED concluded their regular season with a 97-52 road loss to Neptunas-Amberton Klaipeda. With both teams already locked into their playoff positions, the game had no impact on the standings.
Six Neptunas-Amberton players reached double figures, led by Marina Solopova's 26 points. Taylor Murray nearly recorded a triple-double with 11 points, 9 assists, and 9 steals.
Prior to the Neptunas-Amberton vs. TSA/CITYTEED game, Kibirkstis Vilnius triumphed over TTT Riga in Latvia 87:67, thus completing the season with a perfect 14-0 record.
Egle Zabotkaite led the way with 18 points, Nia Clouden added 16, and Sydney Taylor scored 15. Dominique Wilson (16 points) and Katija Vihmane (15) were the top scorers for TTT Riga. Notably, TTT Riga welcomed back Vanesa Jasa, though she did not feature in the match against Kibirkstis.
The Division A quarterfinals will feature the following matchups:
- Kibirkstis Vilnius vs. RSU Riga
- Neptunas-Amberton Klaipeda vs. Liepaja/LSSS
- LCC International University vs. Siauliai-Vilmers
- TTT Riga vs. TSA/CITYTEED Tallinn
The teams will play a two-game series, with the aggregate score determining the winners who advance to the Final Four.
